Swanepoel - Assyrtiko

A mediterranean grape, redefined by South African terroir. This is an interesting variety coming from South Africa & a great discovery wine. 

Planted on sandstone mountain slopes in Tullbargh. This is not a typical variety from South Africa but one where the producer is adapting ahead of time with the changing climate. 
The vines thrive there in rocky, well drained soils, it yields a wine of striking freshness, mineral tension & enduring structure. 

Pairs well with seafood & intense citrus forward Mediterranean dishes
